Paralyzed Biker Making Skydiving Proposal in Zagreb

Date: 25.10.2015

5 years ago Danijel Zahtila was left paralyzed from the chest down after a motor cycle accident. Despite his severe disability, Danijel has recently made Croatian skydiving history…

This week at the Lučko Airport in Zagreb, Danijel, with the help of Tandem Experti team, decided to jump out of a plane from 3,000 metres and skydive. The jump was first of its kind in Croatia and the region.

To make the whole jump more interesting, Danijel decided to propose to his long-time girlfriend Iva during the jump. First Danijel had to convince her to jump as well for the surprise to work.

Needless to say Iva said yes.

Check out the moment in the video below.

No medical examination

The great advantage of tandem skydiving is that you do not need to pass a medical exam. If you have any questions regarding health conditions and tandem skydiving, please contact us and we will be pleased to advise you.

Only 15 minutes of preparation

Unlike a standard skydiving course, which can last up to several weeks, before performing a tandem skydive all you need to pass is a short, 15 minute briefing during which your tandem instructor will explain the basic principles of skydiving to you..

4,000 meters on your first jump

In a standard skydiving course, students make their first ten parachute jumps from an altitude of 1,000 meters, during which they will not experience freefall. In a tandem skydive, your first jump will be performed at 4,000 meters and you will spend 60 seconds in freefall.

Additional benefits

Tandem Experts provide a number of benefits, including: insured transportation to the dropzones, video of your skydive included in the price, a diploma for a successfully performed skydive, signature in your parachutist logbook and a team t-shirt.
